3 things: Ravens-Jaguars

THREE THINGS THAT NEED TO GO RIGHT ...

1. Take an early lead.

In the Jaguars' past two road losses, they fell behind 10-0 in the first quarter at Houston and trailed 20-3 at halftime at Chicago. Jacksonville quarterback David Garrard has thrown nine of his 11 interceptions this season when trailing in the game.

2. Attack through the air.

Jacksonville has given up 25 passing touchdowns, the third-most in the NFL. Rookie quarterback Joe Flacco hasn't thrown for multiple touchdowns in his past three games.

3. Hold on to the ball.

The Ravens got lucky last game because they could have lost a couple of fumbles. Since 2000, the Ravens are 60-3 when they win the turnover battle.


... AND THREE THINGS THAT COULD GO WRONG

1. Running game gets shut down.

The Jaguars have limited teams to 52.3 rushing yards in their past three games. The Ravens are 1-3 when they have been held under 113 yards on the ground.

2. The Ravens have trouble tackling Maurice Jones-Drew in space.

With Fred Taylor done for the season, he is Jacksonville's best offensive weapon. Jones-Drew is the NFL leader among running backs in catches (61) and receiving yards (555).

3. Injuries to the secondary.

The Ravens haven't been the same when they lose a starting cornerback during the game. Fabian Washington hurt his hamstring two games ago, and Samari Rolle sprained his foot last game.
